The BREEZE FP Travel 170-210cm Lever-Lock Adjustable SUP Paddle is an affordable performance paddle with a premium adjustment system that can be taken apart for easy storage and transport. This paddle is perfect for combining with inflatable paddle boards as the board and paddle can be stored together in a small space. It is ideal for paddlers from 1.60 m to 1.95 m and also works beyond that. The Lever-Lock adjustment system keeps the shaft free of bulky mechanisms as the adjustment mechanism is housed in the T-handle. An elegant system normally reserved for more expensive paddles.
A carbon/fiberglass shaft reduces weight and improves flex for higher performance compared to an aluminum shaft. The design and performance of the BREEZE blade is based on the three phases of an efficient paddle stroke: - The Catch: SIC paddle blades are designed to enter the water smoothly, without splashing or turning the blade as it enters the water. This allows the blade to be firmly anchored in the water in the second phase of the paddle stroke. - The pull: This is where the force is transferred from the paddler to the blade and into the water, propelling you forward. As the paddle blade is slightly narrower and longer than conventional SUP paddle blades, you have several "gears" depending on how deep you insert the paddle into the water. Along with a slight tilt of the blade, cavitation (flutter) is also reduced to maximize power transfer from your body to the blade and into the water. - The recovery: Just as important as the catch is a clean recovery that minimizes power loss and maintains rhythm.
The beach paddle blade has a minimal "curve" in the blade and a thin profile. This allows the blade to emerge from the water quickly and cleanly at the end of the stroke. The thin profile also increases the performance of the blade as the paddle glides through the water, which is an advanced recovery technique used in many situations, from maintaining balance to course correction.
