The 1T training ball from Schildkröt has been a very popular, popular training ball for school sports and first training or for recreational play for decades, when larger quantities are needed.
This new variant of the 1T, the 1T Poly 40+, is now celluloid-free. As early as July 2014, the classic celluloid balls will be gradually replaced by the new plastic/poly balls at tournaments. Today, plastic balls have absolutely comparable playing characteristics and an identical quality and durability.
However, they are much more environmentally friendly during production, which is why the changeover was initiated by the ITTF.
The plastic balls can be recognized by the + behind 40 (40 stands for the diameter.
40+ is therefore always and uniformly a plastic/poly ball for all manufacturers.
The 1T / T-One is characterized by a very good price-performance ratio.
It is an inexpensive ball with good properties in terms of bounce, roundness, durability.
