SW-MOTECH manufactures the extensions from milled and high-strength aluminum alloy with a black anodized surface and with a stainless steel tread plate. For optimal adaptation to ergonomics, the increase in the brake lever tread can be adjusted in two stages of 22 or 27 millimeters.

The foot brake lever extension is ideal for off-road rides: It complements the original brake lever tread and guarantees a secure, well-dosed step on the brake. The extension allows both a widening and an increase of the contact surface. This provides more safety and better control of the rear brake.

When riding off-road, you often switch between sitting and standing. When standing, the knee angle changes and the foot can exert less pressure on the small pedal. By increasing the contact surface, the foot is more angled and can easily reach and control the brake lever even when standing. The increase can be adjusted in two different stages.

In addition to the increase, the foot brake lever extension has a widened contact surface. This is equipped with a serrated surface, providing better grip on a dirty or wet surface of the lever.
