In the Ortles TirolWool® Air Insulating Jacket, we combine sustainable Tyrolean wool with partially recycled polyester. The hollow fibers of the material can absorb air and thus store body heat, which gives the jacket a very low weight while maintaining high loft and insulating capacity. In addition, the material offers high thermal performance even when wet.
Additional protection against abrasion is provided by inserts made of our weatherproof Powertex®
Material on hood, shoulders, upper arms and sleeve cuffs.
The features are also designed for alpine activities: The helmet-compatible hood protects against wind and weather, the two-way front zipper allows access to the belay device, small items are stowed in the two mesh inner pockets and the adjustable sleeve cuffs with Velcro fastener and thumb loop can be easily pulled over winter gloves.
