In the Dolomites you can experience some of the most impressive high alpine routes in the world. Developed in collaboration with mountain guides, the Ortles 3L Powertex Pants are a waterproof, breathable solution for challenging conditions and exposed situations.
Made from our patented 3-layer Powertex weather protection fabric, the Ortles 3-layer pants give you a balanced combination of performance, weight and durability. It is extremely waterproof, with a water column of 20,000 mm. At high loads, the breathable membrane (20,000 g/m2/24h) ensures the removal of water vapour and thus guarantees you a comfortable fit. The athletic fit includes a gusset in the crotch for full freedom of movement and ergonomically articulated knees. The snug lower leg and silicone grippers ensure a snug fit over mountain boots (or ski boots) and keep the cuffs securely where they belong, minimizing the risk of getting tangled up in your pants with the crampons.
These pants are a Salewa Committed product with an environmentally friendly PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) coating and are manufactured according to additional, strict and independently audited environmental and social standards.
