The Ortles Light Mid Powertex is a mid-cut mountaineering boot for women who want to move quickly and safely on demanding tours on rock, ice, snow and combined terrain.

Thanks to its lightweight, technical construction, the mountaineering boot covers a wide range of uses: from rocky terrain to demanding activities in snow and ice. The Pomoca Alpine Light outsole provides ideal grip and traction with its robust tread pattern on both rocky and wet, slippery surfaces. Meanwhile, the cushioning EVA midsole ensures a high level of comfort - which is especially noticeable on long mountain days. The ankle protection encloses the foot, provides stability and protects against rock and scree.

Salewa's new Edging Plate 2 technology combines a TPU inner shell that offers a perfect balance of flexibility and stiffness when climbing, with a crampon-compatible heel stabilizer that gives improved grip on rocky terrain. Our specially developed 3F system also increases stability in the heel area, while the Multi Fit Foodbed Plus (MFF+) allows individual adjustment for even more comfort.

The robust nylon upper is reinforced with high-strength and abrasion-resistant TPU seams and TPU covering, as well as a protective rubber edge. Nevertheless, the total weight and material thickness were kept as low as possible. The elastic gaiter keeps dirt and small stones out.

This waterproof mountaineering boot has a PFC-free Powertex membrane. The shoe is characterized by a low ecological footprint - and is the first shoe to be part of the Salewa Committed collection, whose products are manufactured according to our additional environmental and sustainability standards.
