The Ortles GTX 3L Jacket is an alpine hardshell jacket that features a new, advanced laminate construction with ePE membrane from GORE-TEX. The comfortable and waterproof main material is made of recycled fabric, is PFAS-free, is characterized by a greatly reduced CO₂ footprint and is durable. In addition, the hardshell jacket is completely windproof to retain body heat and protect against the wind chill effect, the strong heat loss caused by wind. Nevertheless, it remains highly breathable and transports moisture to the outside during intensive ascents.

Features include a water-repellent two-way front zipper, a helmet-compatible hood and two large hand pockets that remain accessible even with a climbing harness, as well as an inside pocket with zipper and underarm ventilation zippers.
