Salewa Ortles Dyneema Sling 8Mm - orange

The thin Ortles Dyneema webbing sling with low volume has a diameter of eight millimeters with a breaking strength of over 22 kilonewtons (kN). The 22 kilonewtons, or 2.2 tonnes, describe the load at which the material fails. Dyneema fibers are characterized by their low weight and strength – they are even lighter and stronger than steel and Kevlar.

The special colour coding for immediate length detection is not only used for the Ortles Dyneema webbing slings, but also for the Ortles Dyneema cords. The uniform colour system in green, blue, red and grey thus identifies the respective length and helps to quickly select the right material when climbing and mountaineering.
The Ortles Dyneema webbing sling is part of the standard equipment of every climber and is used for belay construction as well as for intermediate or self-belaying.
