The Alp Trainer 2 is a progressive hiking boot with a mid-cut upper, a durable, high-quality suede and stretch upper, and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining that keeps you safe on a variety of terrain and in changeable conditions. A generous rubber rand offers additional protection against rock edges and scree.
Adaptable and comfortable
The shoe offers a precise fit, encloses your foot securely, gives it support and is comfortable the first time you put it on. Our proprietary patented 3F system includes a steel cable and provides a firm grip on the ankle and lateral stability, while the Flex Collar gives the ankle more freedom of movement backwards and increases comfort on the descent. In addition, with the adjustable SALEWA® Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+), you can choose between different insoles and thus adjust the shoe volume to you. The climbing shoe lacing system also allows for custom tightening to the toes for better performance on technical terrain.
Improved grip and grip
The optimized Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole, which is only offered by SALEWA®, improves performance and control on a wide variety of mountain terrain. Thanks to its special climbing, grip and braking zones and the aggressive lug design, it also convinces in wet and muddy conditions.
