D-air Smart Jacket – Fit and safety: When wearing the Smart Jacket under a motorcycle jacket, measure the chest over the actual base layers that will be worn. Dainese recommends approximately 5 cm / 2 in of space between the base layers and the Smart Jacket at both front and back to provide the correct room for deployment. When wearing it over a motorcycle jacket, measure chest circumference with the motorcycle jacket on and its armour installed. D-air products must be registered and configured according to Dainese instructions.
Back Protectors – Pro-Armor Back 2.0
| Criterion | Value | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Rider height | under 174 cm | Pro-Armor Back Short |
| Rider height | over 175 cm | Pro-Armor Back Long |
| Waist circumference | under 89 cm | XS/M |
| Waist circumference | over 90 cm | L/XXL |
Insert Back Protectors – G1 / G2
| Protector size | Typical Dainese jacket compatibility |
|---|---|
| G1 | up to EU jacket size 48 |
| G2 | from EU jacket size 50 |
Protector safety notice: Dainese states that a size chart alone cannot guarantee perfect fit. Whenever possible, try a back protector together with the motorcycle jacket you will actually wear. It should protect from the tailbone up toward the cervical area without unacceptably restricting movement. For protective equipment, the exact model instructions always take priority.

Technical underwear / D-Core: FuW also lists older Dainese D-Core products in sizes such as XS/S, M, L and XL/2XL. Because those product generations do not necessarily follow today's standard chart, no body measurements from a different product family have been transferred. Use the product-specific chart for the exact D-Core article.
How to Measure
- Height: barefoot, standing upright, from the top of the head to the floor.
- Chest: during normal breathing, horizontally around the fullest chest area, over the shoulder blades and just below the armpits.
- Women's bust: additionally measure around the fullest part of the bust where the Dainese women's chart requires it.
- Arm: from the outer shoulder point to the wrist with the arm relaxed at the side.
- Neck: approximately 2 cm below the Adam's apple at the front and across the seventh cervical vertebra at the back.
- Waist: horizontally just above the highest point of the iliac crest.
- Hips: horizontally around the fullest part of the hips or seat.
- Inseam: from the lowest point of the crotch vertically to the floor.
- Palm circumference: around the palm just below the knuckles.
General safety notice: Dainese motorcycle clothing, leather suits, gloves, footwear, airbags and protectors are safety-relevant equipment. The correct size must fit closely enough to keep protectors in their intended position without restricting breathing or necessary movement. Check racing suits in the riding position. Certification, installation, activation and care instructions for the exact product always take priority.
